Every fresher who does a resume for the first time fall in confusion on the font to be used for preparing the CV or resume.

There are lot of options available for you, one should not take chance in choosing the font which can influence on career.

The most common font accepted and preferred for any resume is Times New Roman.

Even though, Arial or Verdana look great, they are not recommended for a resume. They are best for web layouts.

As far as font size is concerned, its better to use a size of 11pt to 13pt. Again decision is left to you as the overall pleasing effect of resume is what matters finally. If you don't have too many content to fill in resume, better try 13pt. But if you have lot details to include, don't try 10 or 9pt, instead extend your resume / CV to another page.

Better is you don't leave the layout with more blank spaces.
