Sleeping as discussed in another tip is a vital part of every living being. A
sound sleep can be a lifesaver in many occasions. Millions of people suffer from having no good sleep and here are few regular practices which one should follow in order to
get a good sleep.
1. Regular exercises
If you do regular exercises, your entire body health system will be in good tone and it also helps in getting you a
sound sleep at night.
2. Smoking / Alcohol / Drugs / Beverages
Tobacco products, alcoholic drinks, caffeine beverages can affect your sleeping and they also have the capability to affect your health. Better avoid all them permanently - your health can improve timely if you leave consuming them in an addicted manner. Its indeed tough to quit such addiction, but slowly start reducing and one fine day you can find it easy to quit.
3. Nap in afternoon
Experts say it is good for health. Yes, its good for a healthy person, but not for you if you are finding problems
getting good night's sleep. Engage yourself in some interesting work and you forget about naps you do daily. Its better you avoid completely. If it is too difficult to avoid napping in noon, don't go for a long one - limit it to 20-30 minutes.
4. Food to help sound sleep at night
Don't eat too much, just eat stomach full, but not over capacity. A banana and a glass of warm milk is recommended as they help you
improve the sleep. Its advised to avoid fatty food before you go to bed as they do not facilitate easy digestion which in few cases may affect your sleep. A disturbed sleep is no good sleep at all. More water is good to have throughout the day but limit it during night as you don't want to be disturbed while sleeping :P
5. Regular routine and fixed sleeping
A fixed time slot for sleeping and fixed sleeping time are most recommended. You should keep a regular time to sleep like 10pm to bed and 5 am to raise from bed. A
6-8 hours of sleep is always recommended for a healthy lifestyle. But this 6-8 hours have few exceptions - contact your doctor if you have any specific problems. Even if it is a weekend day - don't sleep too much, but a relaxation of up to 1 hour is ok.
