What is the optimal speed of riding motorbikes to maximize efficiency

There are many class of bike riders around. We see around a number of people who ride motor bikes. The percentage of bike riders is definitely greater than those who ride mopeds or 4 wheelers.

Maximizing the efficiency of bikes is the question here.

There are people who ride bikes at the maximum speed. Disadvantage with this is that the engine requires more fuel to drive bikes at high speed which reduces the efficiency. Also you are not safe while riding at more than 100kmph.

Other category of people are those who fear to ride at high speeds. As they always want to slow down, they mostly stay away from using top gear. These power gears are not meant for regular usage, but should be used only while turning, humps, signals, traffic jam or initial pickup. These power gears too require more fuel to deliver high power and reduce the mileage. Another disadvantage is that the vehicle won't run smooth at power gears and delivers more jerks and vibrations to your body and you will get tired sooner than at top gear.

Most of the bikes have marked the best speeds on their speedometers, you better follow what the manufacturer say as bikes vary from model to model. Most common optimal speed vary from 30kmph to 50kmph.
